Production, processing and mechanical engineering are the closely connected areas of the plastics industry. Manufacturers develop and manufacture tailor-made plastics for a wide range of applications. Processors transform these plastics into high-quality products for virtually all fields of industry and daily life. Plastics machinery is the link between production and processing. They manufacture tools and machinery needed to transform plastic materials into first class products.  All three areas of the plastics industry are firmly intertwined. There is an intensive cooperation between the industrial associations representing their respective interests.
